About us

The ICC International Court of Arbitration® is an autonomous body of the International Chamber of Commerce. As the most preferred and widely used arbitration institution, the Court’s function is to supervise and administer arbitrations throughout all stages of the process. All proceedings are conducted under ICC Rules of Arbitration, which only the Court is empowered and authorised to administer. Most importantly, there are no restrictions as to nationality of parties or arbitrators, location, language or law, making ICC Arbitration a reliable and just alternative to court litigation.

Last Wednesday, 17 April, ICC organised an event on innovation and AI, to explore the risks and opportunities of new technologies in dispute resolution 💡 AI is revolutionising business processes. Through advanced algorithms and machine learning, AI can quickly analyse vast amounts of data, identify patterns, and generate summaries very fast. Legal practitioners and business leaders can reach faster dispute resolution thanks to these new technologies. How has it already made its mark? Should guidelines on its use should be put in place? What can we expect in the future? 🔮 Hosted by Salesforce, the discussion started with its Executive Vice President and General Counsel Todd Machtmes being interviewed by Amy Endicott, Partner at Arnold & Porter. The fireside chat was followed by a panel on AI and Business Dispute Resolution, with Anna Gressel, Omar Haroun, Jo Levy, and Dr. Megan Ma as panellists and D. Jason File as moderator. The speakers provided the audience with new insights on how AI can increase access to justice, how to uphold ethics, the international and non-big-law perspective, and much more. It was an interesting afternoon in San Francisco! #AIinArbitration #ICCCourt #ICCArbitration United States Council for International Business (USCIB)
